Two Pakistani-origin individuals living in Canada have been awarded the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of their dedicated service to their communities.
The medals were presented during a ceremony in Canada by Member of Parliament Iqra Khalid. The recipients, Ashraf Khan Lodhi and Najam-ul-Hassan Zaidi, were honoured for their outstanding contributions to society.
Ashraf Lodhi is a veteran journalist based in Canada, while Najam-ul-Hassan Zaidi originally comes from Nawabshah, Sindh.
During her address at the event, MP Iqra Khalid noted that the medals were issued to mark the coronation of King Charles III, held on May 6, 2023. She highlighted that recipients are selected for their strong commitment to Canadian values and their connection to the British monarchy.
