Islamabad International Airport has introduced a dedicated service for travelers with psychological or invisible disabilities, becoming the first airport in Pakistan to offer such support.
Upon arrival, eligible passengers are provided with a Sunflower Ribbon, a globally recognized symbol indicating an invisible disability. Passengers wearing this ribbon receive priority assistance at all service counters, ensuring faster and more personalized support throughout their airport experience.
Chief Operating Officer and Airport Manager Aftab Gilani shared that the initiative aims to create a more inclusive travel environment by recognizing the unique needs of passengers with non-visible disabilities.
