The Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has opened admissions for international students under fully and partially funded scholarships for the academic year 2025. Located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, IUT is offering scholarships across a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Full OIC Scholarships – BSc Engineering Programmes
- These full scholarships are reserved only for nominated international candidates from OIC member states.
- International applicants without nomination are not eligible for full scholarships.
- A total of 40 full scholarships are available under the following BSc Engineering programmes:
Programmes Covered:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (10 scholarships)
- B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (20 scholarships)
- B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (10 scholarships)
- Scholarships will be distributed equally among eligible and nominated students from OIC member countries.
Full OIC Scholarships – BSc and MSc in Technical Education
- All students admitted to Technical Education programmes will receive full OIC scholarships.
- International candidates must apply through their nominating authority.
- A total of 40 scholarships are available in this category:
Programmes Covered:
- B.Sc. in Technical Education (3-year programme) – 30 scholarships
- M.Sc. in Technical Education – 10 scholarships
- These scholarships are open to candidates from all OIC member states, including Bangladesh.
- Equal distribution will be maintained among eligible nominees.
- Applications must be submitted using the prescribed IUT admission forms.
Partial OIC Scholarships – BSc Programmes
- Partial OIC scholarships are available for a broader set of engineering and management programmes.
- A total of 48 partial scholarships will be awarded for the following programmes:
Programmes Covered:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – 10 seats
- B.Sc. in Industrial Production Engineering – 2 seats
- B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering – 20 seats
- B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering – 10 seats
- B.Sc. in Software Engineering – 2 seats
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering – 2 seats
- BBA in Technology Management – 2 seats
- All international candidates must apply via their nominating authorities.
- Scholarships will be equally shared among eligible and nominated applicants from member states.
- Remaining vacant scholarships, if any, may be allocated to deserving students from the host country, Bangladesh.
- Residential facilities will be provided to all students receiving full or partial OIC scholarships.
