The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has revised its policy for age modification in the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), making the process more accessible and transparent for Pakistanis living abroad.
Application Channels Now Available
Overseas applicants can now request age modifications through multiple platforms:
- Pak ID Mobile Application
- Nearest NADRA Registration Center
- Pakistani Embassy or Consulate in their resident country
Revised Age Modification Rules
NADRA’s new policy introduces updated rules based on the type and number of age changes requested:

- Unnatural Age Gap with Siblings (Less than 7 Months)
- Age change of up to 1 year (366 days) allowed without any documents.
- Age Adjustment up to 1 Year (366 days)
- Allowed with the submission of a local or foreign birth certificate.
- Second-Time Change (up to 366 days)
- Allowed only once, with required documents such as a Pakistani/foreign passport, resident permit, or Matric Certificate.
- Initial Age Modification (up to 5 Years)
- Permitted only once, with any of the following documents:
- Pakistani passport
- Matric Certificate
- Recent mark sheet (issued within 3 years)
- Service Book
Updated Fee Structure for Age Modifications
The updated fee structure depends on the extent and frequency of the modification:
- Less than or equal to 1 year – $5
- Greater than 1 year but less than or equal to 2 years – $25
- Greater than 2 years but less than or equal to 3 years – $40
- Greater than 3 years – $65
- Modification for the second time (any range) – $125
