Honor Power Claims to Support 1 Hour of Calling at Only 2% Battery

Honor has unveiled its new Honor Power smartphone, designed to meet the needs of users who require long-lasting battery life without compromising on performance or other features.

The device is equipped with a ginormous 8,000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, and more. Here are the details.

Design and Display

The Honor Power features a sleek and slim design that measures just under 8mm in thickness, despite housing an enormous battery. The phone is available in various colors, including Snow White, Desert Gold, and Phantom Night Black.

The 6.78-inch OLED display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and supports 10-bit color depth for vibrant and smooth visuals. With a resolution of 1,224 x 2,700px and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, the display ensures excellent visibility in bright environments. Additionally, it features 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, making it suitable for various lighting conditions.

Internals and Software

The Honor Power runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, providing a significant performance boost compared to previous models. The phone is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and offers up to 512GB of internal storage. This configuration ensures smooth multitasking and sufficient storage for most users.

The device runs on Android 15, customized with Honor’s Magic UI. The Honor Power also includes dual-SIM support and connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi.

Cameras

The camera setup on the Honor Power includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.95 lens and OIS for stable and detailed shots. It supports 4K video recording, making it suitable for users who want to capture high-quality content. The secondary camera is a 5MP ultra-wide lens, allowing users to capture wider scenes, though it’s relatively basic compared to other high-end devices.

For selfies and video calls, the Honor Power comes with a 16MP front camera, which can record 1080p video.

Battery and Pricing

The Honor Power comes with an 8,000mAh Si/C battery, providing an impressive 25 hours of long-form video playback and 23 hours of TikTok use. The phone supports 66W fast charging, although the time to reach a full charge hasn’t been specified. Honor claims that even with 2% charge, the phone can do 1 hour of voice calls.

The Honor Power has launched in China, starting at ~$270 for the 8/256GB model. The 12/256GB version is priced at ~$300, and the 12/512GB model is priced at ~$342.
