Under this new system, biometric verification of the petitioner or litigant will now be mandatory for all case filings.

Justice Neelum emphasized that if a litigant can appear to sign a case with their lawyer, they must also undergo biometric verification before filing, ensuring that all case submissions are authentic and legitimate.

Real-time Access to Case Information

As part of the court’s efforts to improve transparency, the Chief Justice also announced the launch of a live daily cause list, which is now available on the LHC mobile application.

This feature allows lawyers and litigants to track which cases are being heard in which courtroom in real-time, improving accessibility and efficiency.

Additionally, Justice Neelum revealed plans to install LED screens outside courtrooms to display the live cause list for public viewing, further enhancing transparency and convenience.

Commitment to Judicial Reforms

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum reaffirmed her commitment to bringing judicial reforms, aligning the Lahore High Court’s systems with modern technological advancements. These efforts are designed to ensure that justice is not only swift but also of the highest quality.

This new biometric case filing system, along with the real-time access to court schedules, marks a pivotal shift in the judicial process, setting a new standard for transparency, efficiency, and authenticity in the legal system.
