South Air has opened bookings for its first commercial flight between Karachi and Islamabad, scheduled for July 16, 2026.
The flight will operate through Bahawalpur and will take approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes.
According to the airline’s booking portal, the flight will depart Karachi at 7:30 am and arrive in Islamabad at 11:40 am.
South Air is offering three economy fare options for the inaugural service.
The Economy Basic ticket costs Rs. 14,218 per passenger. However, this fare does not include checked baggage.
Meanwhile, the Economy Value ticket is priced at Rs. 15,792 and includes a 20kg baggage allowance.
| Fare category | Ticket price | Baggage allowance |
| Economy Basic | Rs. 14,218 | No checked baggage |
| Economy Value | Rs. 15,792 | 20kg |
| Economy Premium | Sold out | Not currently available |
The Economy Premium category has already sold out for the first flight.
The Karachi-Islamabad service will operate via Bahawalpur rather than flying directly between the two cities.
As a result, the total journey time is 4 hours and 10 minutes.
The July 16 flight will mark the start of South Air’s scheduled commercial operations.
The new airline plans to use ATR 72 aircraft for its domestic network. These turboprop aircraft are commonly used on short and regional routes.
South Air has positioned itself as a regional carrier focused on connecting major cities with destinations that receive fewer scheduled flights.
