Here is the Traffic Plan for Lahore During PSL 2025 Matches

As the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season X comes to Lahore with a packed calendar of high-stakes matches, the Punjab government has rolled out a revised traffic plan to ensure the city’s daily life runs smoothly alongside the country’s most celebrated T20 tournament.

All matches in Lahore are scheduled as day-night fixtures, with 7:00 PM start times, prompting concerns about overlapping school and match traffic.

Despite the proximity of match venues to some of Lahore’s busiest arteries, the government has assured that no major roads will be closed to traffic during the matches themselves. According to updates shared by traffic management authorities, Mall Road, Canal Road, Jail Road, Main Boulevard, and Gulberg Road will remain open throughout the PSL games.

Only temporary closures will be enforced to accommodate team movements from hotels to the stadium and vice versa, and those too are expected to be brief and coordinated to avoid unnecessary disruption.

According to an earlier announcement, school timings for institutions near Gaddafi Stadium will also be revised to avoid overlap with team movements. In anticipation of matchday congestion near the stadium, the provincial administration has issued an official notification adjusting school timings from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM from April 24 to May 18.

The decision was made in coordination with city officials and security planners after recent logistical assessments around Gaddafi Stadium, which will host a significant chunk of the 34 matches planned for PSL X.

Lahore will kick off its PSL hosting duties on April 24, with Lahore Qalandars taking on Peshawar Zalmi. The grand finale, set for May 18, will also take place at Lahore’s iconic stadium.

With Lahore once again at the heart of Pakistan’s cricketing narrative, these proactive steps and a detailed traffic plan aim to ensure that the joy of PSL doesn’t come at the cost of daily inconvenience for its citizens.
