Inter Exams Delayed in Entire Province

The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has postponed the intermediate examinations by three weeks, just a day before they were scheduled to begin, citing unavoidable reasons.

According to a statement from the board’s chairman, the exams have been delayed until further notice. However, media outlets claimed that sources familiar with the situation revealed that the decision was prompted by a boycott announced by teachers, which left exam arrangements in disarray.

The teachers’ refusal to perform examination duties has created serious challenges for the board, with no immediate resolution in sight. The board has not yet announced a new schedule for the postponed exams.

Meanwhile, in Karachi, the Board of Intermediate Education has announced that intermediate examinations will now be conducted after May 6, 2025.

The delay has been attributed to the non-availability of the board chairman and examination halls, currently occupied for matriculation exams that will continue until May 2.

The reports quoted that sources say the approval of nearly 300 examination centres is still pending, and no notification has been issued regarding additional marks. Moreover, the scrutiny of over 27,000 forms remains incomplete, and tabulation work has also been delayed due to administrative bottlenecks.

Students across both provinces are left in uncertainty as exam preparations hang in the balance with no clear resolution yet announced.
