According to seasoned journalist Qadir Khawaja, several overseas players from the Karachi camp are currently in the UAE for a brief break, expected to rejoin the squad in Pakistan ahead of their upcoming league game.
While the franchise has yet to officially comment, it is understood that the trip was approved by team management in a move designed to offer the foreign players a short mental and physical reset in the middle of a grueling, high-pressure campaign. Many of Karachi Kings’ foreign stars already reside in the UAE, including James Vince and Mohammad Nabi. David Warner, Tim Seifert, Kane Williamson, and Ben McDermott make up the rest of the foreign contingent.
Karachi Kings, currently battling to consolidate a top-four spot, recognize the critical importance of keeping their overseas core fresh and focused. With the likes of Vince and Seifert carrying heavy workloads throughout the season, a calculated break could help preserve their sharpness as the competition reaches its decisive stages.
Sources suggest the players will return in time for the Kings’ next match preparation sessions, ensuring no disruption to tactical plans or match fitness.
The Kings are scheduled to face Multan Sultans in their next game, which has been rescheduled to Lahore on May 1.
