Pakistan’s higher education sector has reached a new milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025, with 47 universities earning positions among Asia’s top research institutions.
This year’s rankings reflect the growing influence of Pakistani universities across the region, with Quaid-i-Azam University emerging as the country’s top performer, alongside strong showings from several other institutions.
The following list, based on official data from the THE website, highlights the Pakistani universities featured in the 2025 Asia University Rankings.
In addition to the ranked institutions, another 47 universities from Pakistan participated as “reporters,” indicating they submitted data but did not fully meet the criteria required for formal ranking.
