Islamabad United’s Salman Ali Agha has addressed recent rumors about his absence from the team’s starting XI in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025).
Pakistan’s T20 captain missing in action raised concerns among fans. However, Salman assured everyone that he was not being dropped but was recovering from an injury.
“I had an injury, but now I am much better. I started practicing after 10 days. I also see that people say I’ve been dropped, don’t worry, Islamabad is not dropping me,” Salman said, putting to rest rumors about his status with the team.
Salman Ali Agha has only played two games for Islamabad United this season and has not featured in the starting lineup since. His absence sparked questions among fans and analysts, but he insists it’s due to fitness, not selection issues.
Speaking about Islamabad United’s team culture, Salman praised the franchise’s environment and values. “When we go to other countries and say that there should be a model like this, we already have an example. It’s not just because I play for this team, even when I wasn’t playing, I used to hear the same things. Now that I’m captain, I will definitely try to implement it,” he said.
