Laser Lights Banned Near Karachi Airport

The Karachi city administration has imposed a two-month ban on the sale and use of laser lights near the Karachi airport, citing aviation safety concerns. According to a notification by Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi, the restriction is a precautionary measure to protect pilots from eye damage caused by laser beams, particularly during critical phases of landing and takeoff.

Laser lights, often used in weddings, concerts, and stage events, can pose a serious risk to aircraft operations; hence, the decision to prohibit them in all areas surrounding the airport. The goal is to prevent air traffic disruptions and ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
