The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively discussing the fate of PSL Season 10, with a decision regarding its status expected to be confirmed later this evening or by tonight.
This information was revealed by Lahore Qalandars owner Atif Rana, who confirmed that the final decision regarding the remaining matches of PSL Season 10 will be made soon.
The PCB is in active negotiations with all six franchises and their foreign players as it looks to get its most prized tournament going after a brief delay. PSL 10 was among the tournaments suspended in the country following an escalation of the conflict between Pakistan and India.
Foreign players taking part in the league have already left the country, and bringing them back is one of the hurdles the PCB is dealing with. Among the viable options for the league’s resumption is shifting all the remaining matches to Rawalpindi or even Dubai to allay any fears the players may have. If all else fails, the PCB may suspend the PSL 10 season for now and resume it later in the year.
Whatever solution the PCB comes up with will be announced soon.
Just eight matches of the PSL 10 season are pending, including the playoffs and final. All eyes are now on the PCB to make a formal announcement.
