The intense heatwave has gripped South Punjab, with soaring temperatures posing serious health risks, even for schoolchildren. Tragically, two students from different schools have reportedly lost their lives due to heat-related complications.
With temperatures continuing to rise, authorities in Punjab have announced school closures to protect students. In one incident, a student in Fatehpur collapsed and died while playing football. In another case, a female student in Faqeerwali passed away after suffering a heart attack, allegedly triggered by the extreme heat.
The relentless heatwave has raised serious concerns about public health and student safety across the region.
