The Punjab Higher Education Department has announced summer holidays for all public and private colleges across the province, starting from May 28 to August 14, 2025.
According to the official notification, all colleges will remain closed during this period, and academic activities will resume from Friday, August 15, 2025.
However, BS 4-year programs will not be affected by the summer break. These programs will continue as per the academic calendar set by their respective universities.
The notification further clarified that all scheduled exams and practicals will take place as planned. This includes examinations organized by universities and boards across Punjab.
Students enrolled in regular college programs will get nearly three months off, but those in BS degree programs are advised to follow their university schedules closely to avoid missing classes or assessments.
The decision comes as part of the province’s efforts to manage educational activities during the peak summer season while ensuring continuity in degree programs and examinations.

Punjab Education Ministery is only upfront to announce vacations. If we count holidays in year for School and Colleges those stands 274 days off.
At least Punjab Govt should cancel wrong decision for two days weekly holidays in schools and Colleges to somehow increase few days for study of students.
