The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has temporarily restrained Park View City, a private housing society, from collecting additional development charges from plot owners.
Justice Inam Amin Minhas, while hearing a petition filed by Qasim Chatha and other allottees, issued a stay order blocking the enforcement of a notice that sought extra charges from the petitioners.
The court also issued a notice to the housing society’s owner, Aleem Khan, directing him to submit a response within 10 days.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been asked to present the approved layout plan of Park View City to the court. During the hearing, Advocate Raja Zeeshan Khan represented the petitioners and argued that the demand for additional charges was both illegal and amounted to harassment.
He maintained that allottees had already paid their dues for the allotted plots and should not be burdened with further costs. The IHC has scheduled the next hearing for June 3.
