Citizens can now obtain learner, international, and renewal driving licenses on the go, thanks to a new road mobile service launched by the city’s traffic police, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr. Ather Waheed announced on Tuesday.
44 mobile vans equipped with licensing machinery have been deployed across major sectors of Lahore. These vans are fitted with laptops integrated with the central licensing system which allows real-time data processing and issuance of licenses.
Dr. Waheed stated that the initiative aims to significantly reduce congestion at traffic offices. He added that thousands of people have already benefited from the service, which is designed to prioritize convenience and accessibility for citizens.
