Islamabad’s New Parking Facility Will Accommodate 1,000 Vehicles at a Time

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is constructing a major parking facility within the premises of the Pak Secretariat to help ease long-standing parking issues for government officials and visitors.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa recently visited the newly designated parking site, where he was briefed on the project’s progress by Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza.

The facility is being developed on a large area of approximately 133,729 square feet and is designed to accommodate over 1,000 vehicles at once.

The project is expected to benefit not only employees of the Pak Secretariat but also visitors and staff working in nearby government and administrative offices.

Chairman Randhawa noted that the initiative represents a significant step in addressing urban management challenges in Islamabad. He called the facility a model example of CDA’s commitment to improving public infrastructure and enhancing daily convenience for both government workers and citizens.

Officials briefed Randhawa that construction is being carried out across all sections of the parking area at the same time to speed up progress. The multi-section approach highlights the CDA’s focus on timely delivery and operational efficiency.
