Bookings Open for Islamabad IT Park Ahead of August Launch

The Pakistan Software Export Board, under the Ministry of IT and Telecom, has started booking for Islamabad IT Park ahead of its scheduled launch on August 14.

The facility spans 720,000 square feet and is being developed as Pakistan’s most advanced IT infrastructure, purpose-built to accommodate over 120 IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies, including startups and established exporters.

The park features two basements, a ground floor, and nine upper stories that will host dedicated office spaces, a startup incubation centre with 15 offices, and business support services. These services include legal, marketing, and financial advisory services for resident companies.

The facility will also offer an industry-academia linkage centre to promote collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector, addressing skills development and talent supply.

A major highlight of the park is Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Centre, built to ensure high levels of data security and uninterrupted operations. The data centre meets international standards and is expected to significantly enhance the digital infrastructure needed to support both local firms and international clients operating in Pakistan’s growing tech industry.

In addition to its core infrastructure, the park includes R&D labs, virtual training zones, and business facilitation centres. Strategically located in Islamabad, the capital is being positioned as a prime destination for digital foreign direct investment.

The initiative is backed by stakeholders such as the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Pakistan Software Houses Association, and Pakistan Freelancers Association. A similar IT park is planned near Karachi airport to further support the expansion of Pakistan’s digital economy.

  • IT PARK means call centers . Where dreams go to die

Instead of industries we are now doing call centers . Pitiful country

    • This is a tradition and (now) outdated concept for which the time has come and gone. It’s again a way for corrupt politicians and authorities to siphon money off. They are thinking there will be coding and programming jobs in the future- that era will soon disappear.

  • “Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Centre”….LOL…mate Pakistan already has tier 3 data centers… what are you on??? At least proof read what you write
