Poland Warns Pakistanis Against Illegal Immigration

Poland has launched an international information campaign aimed at discouraging migrants from entering the country illegally, particularly through its border with Belarus. The campaign targets several countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, and Egypt.

Polish officials say the campaign is part of broader efforts to protect the country’s borders and prevent irregular migration. The initiative includes videos and messages in local languages, warning potential migrants against attempting to cross into Poland illegally.

One video, shared by Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, shows Polish border guards, stop signs, and other deterrents, with a narrator stating, “If someone illegally crosses the border, they will not receive asylum.”

Warsaw has accused Belarus and Russia of encouraging migration to destabilize the European Union, a claim both countries deny. In March, Poland suspended the right to seek asylum at its eastern border, a move criticized by human rights groups.

Polish authorities are urging potential migrants to respect border laws and avoid risking their safety by attempting illegal entry. The government says it will continue to take strong measures to secure its borders and address irregular migration.
