In a significant development for Pakistani students aiming to study abroad, the Director General (DG) of Passports has confirmed that several countries, including the UAE, Italy, the UK, and some European nations, have stopped issuing student visas to Pakistani applicants.
The revelation came during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis, chaired by Senator Zeeshan Khanzada.
The DG Passport informed the committee that certain embassies have been providing lists of Pakistani individuals involved in illegal activities.
Many Pakistanis travel abroad on pilgrimage or visit visas but do not return, leading to their names being added to the Exit Control List (ECL).
Last year, 34,000 Pakistanis were deported from Iran, while others were handed over directly to Pakistani authorities without imprisonment due to violations under the Passport Act.
On a more positive note, the Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis acknowledged that eight skilled female welders have recently gone to South Korea for employment. This success was credited to MD Naseer Kashani, whose efforts were praised by the committee chair.

You are joking.lauding eight welders going out while thousands denied visas. What steps are being taken to rectifying this issue.
It’s fact that Pakistanis involved in illegal activities internationally causing damage to our country image and stopped the way for others, I suggest to punish such culprits by putting permanant travel ban and put them behind bars to curb this situation.
They go through the test by fire only because they see opportunity there. Force and pinishment is not the answer to everything. It is the government’s duty to create an environment where people feel safe investing here, creating opportunities, so people are not forced to take desperate measures. Stopping free speech and foisting a corrupt government onto the people has consequences that are now clearly visible.
Stop going to US and Europe for higher education. Choose China that is more advanced in education from US and Europe and it is also much economical to study their compared to other countries.
Go for study for science, agricultural, finance , medicine, live stocks ,Artificial Intelligence, IT etc.
The only difference is people will not speak English, will not grant permanent residence facility and their structure and faces will be little bit different from European.
