The federal government has allocated a substantial Rs. 22.21 billion for the Overseas Scholarship Program for MS/M.Phil leading to Ph.D. under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26, according to official budget documents available with ProPakistani.
The program, managed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), aims to send talented Pakistani students to top international universities for advanced studies in key disciplines.
It is considered one of Pakistan’s flagship initiatives to build a highly qualified academic and research workforce capable of contributing to the country’s scientific, technological, and socio-economic advancement.
