Lahore Records One of Its Highest Temperatures Ever

Lahore experienced another day of extreme heat on Tuesday, with the temperature reaching 45°C at 4:20 PM, according to real-time data from Zoom Earth. This follows a scorching Eid-ul-Adha, when the city saw temperatures climb to 46°C — one of the highest in years.

Citing the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Geo News reported that the recent spike marks Lahore’s hottest spell in nearly two decades. The last record-setting heat occurred in 2007, when the temperature at Lahore Airport hit 48°C.

The heatwave continues to grip much of Pakistan, with several other cities also facing dangerously high temperatures. According to Zoom Earth:

• Sibi recorded the highest at 48°C
• Turbat followed at 47°C
• Jacobabad and Layyah each hit 46°C
• Multan, Faisalabad, Jhelum, Bahawalpur, and Lahore registered 45°C
• Peshawar reported 44°C
• Islamabad saw 42°C
