Big Bonus Announced for CDA Employees

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a financial reward for sanitation workers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in recognition of their exceptional efforts during the Eidul Azha clean-up drive in Islamabad.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, a special ceremony was held to honor the workers for their outstanding performance in maintaining cleanliness across the capital.

Minister Naqvi personally acknowledged the dedication of the field teams and praised CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, the deputy commissioner, assistant commissioners, and sanitation staff for their successful execution of the clean-up operation.

As part of the recognition, the minister announced a reward equal to one basic salary for all employees involved in the “Zero Waste Operation.” Additionally, daily wage workers will receive a bonus of Rs. 15,000 each.

The interior minister highlighted that around 2,400 tonnes of animal waste and offal were collected from both urban and rural areas of Islamabad over the three days of Eid. The entire operation was monitored using drone cameras to ensure efficiency. More than 2,500 workers and 250 vehicles were deployed during the clean-up.

Residents reportedly expressed satisfaction with the cleanliness efforts, which Minister Naqvi said reflects the commendable work of CDA’s sanitation teams. He also thanked the public for cooperating with field workers during the operation.
