Sindh to Add 1,000 Electric Buses to Public Transport Network

As part of its 2025–26 budget, the Sindh government has unveiled a phased initiative to roll out 1,000 electric buses across the province.

Under this plan, 500 electric buses will be introduced in Karachi within the current year to promote environmentally friendly and efficient urban transportation.

To support the transition to electric mobility, the government has also proposed setting up electric vehicle charging stations at various public sites throughout the province.
