Sana Yousaf’s Family Identify Her Killer in Adiala Jail

The family of TikTok star Sana Yousaf, who was tragically murdered in Islamabad, has officially identified the accused during an identification parade held at Adiala Jail. According to police sources, both Sana’s mother and maternal aunt positively identified Umar Hayat, the prime suspect in the case.

The identification parade took place under the supervision of a magistrate, following a court order that sent Umar Hayat to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand. Umar, a 22-year-old TikToker from Faisalabad, was arrested shortly after the murder and has confessed to the crime, which police say was motivated by repeated rejection of his advances toward Sana.

Sana Yousaf, who had a large following on social media and was known for advocating women’s rights and education, was shot dead inside her home in Islamabad’s Sector G-13/1 on June 2, just hours after posting a video celebrating her 17th birthday.
