The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is calling on youth across the region to share their vision for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development through its CICA Essay Contest 2025.
Winners will get a chance to shine on a global stage—and enjoy an all-expenses-paid three-day trip to Baku, Azerbaijan.
The contest theme is: “Youth As Catalyst for Peace, Cooperation & Sustainable Development in the CICA Region.”
Young people aged 18 to 30 are encouraged to submit essays that highlight their ideas for shaping a peaceful and cooperative future across Asia.
The contest offers participants an opportunity not just to express their thoughts but also to contribute to regional dialogue and understanding.
Submission Guidelines:
- Language: English
- Font: Arial, size 14
- Line spacing: 1.3 cm
- Word count: 1,500–2,000 words
- Format: PDF
- Only one submission per participant
- Bibliography is mandatory (cited sources must be included)
- Do not mention your name in the essay—submit it separately via the application form
- Deadline to apply: 15 July 2025
