The provincial government has decided to shut down all hotels, restaurants, and commercial activities along the banks of the Swat River during the monsoon season to prevent any potential loss of life or property.
According to officials, Section 144 has already been enforced across the province, banning recreational activities in rivers, streams, and water channels.
To discourage tourists and locals from entering riverbeds, district and local administrations have launched an extensive awareness campaign.
Through the use of media, social platforms, and public announcements, the public is being strongly urged to stay away from rivers and avoid risking their lives during the monsoon rains.
Authorities have once again appealed to both tourists and residents to strictly follow safety instructions and take all necessary precautions to prevent any unfortunate incidents.
