Railways Minister Bans Officers from Using Luxury Salons

Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has announced a complete ban on the use of luxury salons by railway officers, restricting their use exclusively for public travel.

The move, announced during a high-level meeting in Lahore on Monday, is part of broader efforts to increase accountability and transparency in Pakistan Railways.

During the meeting, Abbasi also instructed officials to complete all ongoing infrastructure and development projects at railway stations by December 31, signaling a strong push for modernization before the year ends.

In another key development, the Ministry of Railways officially launched a new mobile application, Track My Train, which replaces the outdated Pakistan Railway Tracking System.

The app, developed by Mango Tech Solutions, is designed to improve travel convenience and operational transparency.
