Nothing’s First Over the Ear Headphones Have 80-Hour Battery and Built-In ChatGPT

London-based tech brand Nothing has expanded its audio product line with the launch of its first over-the-ear headphones, the Headphone (1). The new release follows the success of the company’s open-ear Ear 2 and continues Nothing’s trend of standout hardware design and user-focused features.

The Headphone (1) has Nothing’s traditional transparent aesthetic developed in partnership with British audio company KEF. While slightly bulky, even for over-ear headphones, the design is visually consistent with Nothing’s existing product line.

There are tactile controls in place of touch sensors, including a clickable volume roller and a dedicated AI assistant button compatible with ChatGPT via the Nothing X app. The tactile roller offers precise control over volume and playback and features a satisfying mechanical click.

The Nothing Headphones (1) is available in 2 colors: White and Black.

The Headphone (1) supports adaptive noise cancelling and transparency mode, and a key highlight is the adaptive bass enhancement, which adjusts audio depth based on the genre. Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking adds a 3D layer to the listening experience.

Battery life is one of the standout features. The Headphone (1) offers up to 80 hours of total playback, or 35 hours with active noise cancelling enabled. Fast charging is also supported, though exact numbers were not revealed.

The Nothing Headphones (1) have a starting price of $299.
