On Thursday, July 3, a Bangladeshi expatriate struck gold by winning AED 25 million in Big Ticket’s latest raffle draw (Draw No. 276). The winning ticket, numbered 061080, was announced live by host Richard.
Mohammed Naser Balal, a 43-year-old electrician who has lived in the UAE for 14 years, claimed the grand prize. His family still resides in Bangladesh. He revealed that he has been consistently buying tickets for the past 12 years along with a group of five friends. This month, the ticket they purchased from the Abu Dhabi International Airport counter turned out to be the lucky one.
“I’m still in disbelief. My hands are shaking,” Balal said emotionally. “For years, I hoped this day would come—and now it finally has.” He shared that he plans to divide the prize money equally among his five friends and use his portion to build a home for his family back in Bangladesh.
In the same draw, another participant won a Nissan Patrol SUV. The winner’s family, originally from Kerala, moved to Dubai three years ago. The father has been living in the UAE for 30 years and was the first in the family to start purchasing Big Ticket entries. Since then, the entire family has been actively participating, regularly buying tickets under each other’s names.
“It’s incredible,” said his son. “After so many years of trying, my father has finally won. We’re all thrilled!”
Big Ticket’s July campaign offers a top prize of AED 20 million in its grand draw scheduled for August 3. Additionally, six other winners will each walk away with AED 50,000.
In the last week of June, three participants won AED 150,000 each.
Weekly draws are held every Thursday, with four winners receiving AED 50,000 each, totaling 16 cash prizes before the main draw.
