Pakistan Fast Bowler Threatens to Leave Cricket for a Weird Reason

Pakistani fast bowler Ihsanullah has gone viral for exhibiting strange behavior, threatening to quit cricket for a bizarre reason.

The 22-year-old announced he was quitting cricket, citing a personal dispute with a teenage friend named Abdullah as the reason for his withdrawal. In a recent interview, Ihsanullah openly stated that he is not playing cricket because his young friend is upset with him.

This, combined with a series of bizarre videos posted online—some showing him attempting to cry—has sparked serious concern about his mental well-being.

Fans are urging the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Peshawar Zalmi to intervene and ensure Ihsanullah receives a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Mental health experts emphasize that such visible signs of distress should not be ignored, as timely intervention can prevent more serious consequences.

Ihsanullah burst onto the scene as one of the fastest bowlers in Pakistan, regularly clocking speeds above 150 kph.

He made his mark in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Multan Sultans, delivering the fastest spell in PSL history and winning both the Player of the Tournament and Bowler of the Tournament awards in 2023.

His international debut came the same year, but his rapid rise was interrupted by a serious elbow injury sustained during a home series against New Zealand.

The injury, and subsequent surgery, sidelined him for a significant period and led to a difficult rehabilitation process.

Despite his efforts to return, his career has been marred by fitness struggles and controversy over the handling of his medical treatment, including allegations of a botched surgery and mismanagement by cricket authorities.

In 2025, he joined Peshawar Zalmi, but was not selected for any match in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10).
