In light of processions and gatherings on Ashura, Metro Bus service from Saddar Station to Faizabad in Rawalpindi has been suspended as a security precaution.
According to officials, the suspension was implemented on the instructions of the Rawalpindi district administration.
However, in Islamabad, the Metro Bus service remains operational between IJP Road and the Pak Secretariat.
Meanwhile, both Blue and Green Line metro bus services in Islamabad have been suspended for the past two days due to similar security concerns during the month of Muharram.
In Karachi, authorities have also suspended the BRT and Peoples Bus Service from 8th to 10th Muharram, citing heightened security alerts in the city.
