Pakistan’s Overall Foreign Reserves Cross $20 Billion for First Time Since March 2022

The overall foreign exchange reserves of Pakistan rose by $1.93 billion on a weekly basis, according to data issued by the central bank on Thursday.

According to the latest data released by the SBP as of July 04, total liquid forex reserves held by the country, including net reserves held by banks other than the SBP, stood at $20.02 billion, up $1.93 billion over the previous week.

The country’s overall reserves are currently at their highest level since 18 March, 2022.

As of July 04, the foreign currency reserves held by the SBP were recorded at $14.502 billion, up $1.77 billion compared to $12.728 billion on June 27.

The net reserves held by banks were recorded at $5.527 billion, registering an increase of $162 million during the week.
