The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially revealed the Shaheens squad, which is set to embark on an exciting international assignment at the Top End T20 Series in Darwin, Australia, scheduled from August 14 to 24.
The 11-team competition will see the Shaheens take on a mix of international A sides and domestic T20 outfits in a bid to showcase Pakistan’s emerging white-ball talent on foreign shores.
Irfan Khan Niazi, who has represented the national side in nine ODIs and 14 T20Is, will captain a youthful yet experienced 15-member squad featuring several names with prior senior international exposure.

The Shaheens begin their campaign against Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 14 under lights at the TIO Stadium, in what promises to be a closely watched contest between two competitive South Asian second-string outfits. The Shaheens will go on to face Scorchers (Aug 16), Renegades (Aug 18), Kingsmen (Aug 19), Strikers (Aug 20), and Nepal (Aug 22), with all matches split between the TIO Stadium and DXC Arena.
With the semi-finals and final slated for August 24, Pakistan will be aiming not just for silverware, but for valuable development in unfamiliar Australian conditions.
