Pakistan Railways will roll out a new high-tech business train on July 19, featuring 28 digitally equipped coaches, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an international-standard dining car. The train aims to provide passengers with a significantly upgraded travel experience.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to inaugurate the new service in Lahore. The launch marks a key milestone in Pakistan Railways’ broader modernization strategy.
As part of its reform agenda, Pakistan Railways is introducing digital ticketing systems and improved onboard services, along with upgraded facilities at stations nationwide. The goal is to boost passenger satisfaction and improve operational efficiency across the board.
Separately, the Railways Ministry has confirmed that the department earned over Rs 3.95 billion from brake and luggage van operations in the past three years. A portion of this revenue was generated through outsourcing services to private contractors via open tenders.
Officials stated that the outsourcing initiative, which includes managing luggage vans, follows a transparent bidding process to ensure accountability and high-quality service.

A very, very, very Big Joke. Do we have the necessary infrastructure to launch such railways services? Do not befool the masses. Their needs include affordable good quality health, education, clean drinking water, employment, and security services, just to name a few.
We the public, do not want new or luxury train but upgradation of existing trains and tracks that are pathetic.
there is huge gap between Cost we pay and the services they are providing, that need to be improved.
Entire structure requires immediate, honest, marit based restructuring of operations and resources without political and bureaucratic influence.

Government should lower electric bill as soon as possible. This should be done in emergency situation.or lower the price of solar system across the country
It’s been ages we are seeing this news of new modern trains in Pakistan but it barely wore the attire of reality
Excellent step by the Government and hope they will use auto close doors and no connections between coaches as our people don’t respect others they continuously keep travelling from one coach to other opening doors every second and no one can sit peacefully or rest most of assengers trave sitting in open doors inviting all the dust in coaches and reducing effectiveness of air conditioning

بالکل درست بات ہے کہ سب سے پہلے ریلوے ٹریک کو جدید زمانے اور ضروریات کے مطابق نیا کیا جائے تاکہ ریل گاڑی کی رفتار تیز ہو سکے ، آئے دن جو ڈی ریل منٹ ہوتی ہے وہ کم سے کم یا نہ ہونے کے برابر ہو نیز سگنلنگ کا نظام بالکل صحیح ہو تاکہ عوام جو پیسے ٹکٹ پہ خرچ کرتے ہیں اسکا فائدہ تو ہو اور عوام کا ریلوے پہ اعتماد بحال ہو یہ سب سے زیادہ ضروری ہے۔
Get rid of the outdated train system and acquired bullet trains with 600+ km/hr speed. Time has changed now. Dont waste money on trash.
IF CPEC Is totally funeded by China then let them also run all the affairs of Pakistan as our pakistani government is incompetant to run these affairs other than corruption.
Good initiative, but sanitation of washrooms should be ensured. Currently very pethatic in all the existing trains.
Sadly that is the fault of the passengers. The same thing is happening on PK Airlines. The passengers make a mess of the toilets and have no idea of hygiene.
Upgradation mean speed enhance directly proportional to time reduce.

Please improve the Railway stations also. At least instal Esclaters /lifts on platforms, and also repair stairs as they are posing as death traps at present.

Required to improve infrastructure first. We have only two tracks down and up track for all kind of tracks from karachi to peshawar.
Minimum 4 tracks Required first.
2 for passengers train and 2 for Mall train.
Then we can introduce multiple packages to our passengers and business communities to use railway to transport their goods from one city to another city on a very cheap rate and in a short time of delivery.

Don’t Go for anything Outstanding.
Be simple. The only charm remain in Railway. They are cheap. So just maintain the Current Structure. And benefits Awam with more Cheaper solutions to Travel.
