Pakistan Storm Into Next Round of Asian U16 Volleyball Championship With Flawless Record

Pakistan’s young volleyball stars continued to impress at the ongoing Asian U16 Volleyball Championship, booking their place in the next round after a flawless group-stage campaign capped by a clinical 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

The straight-sets victory (26-24, 25-14, 25-16) not only underlined Pakistan’s growing dominance in the tournament but also ensured they topped Pool D with a perfect record—three wins from three matches, all without dropping a single set.

Earlier in the group stage, Pakistan began their campaign with an emphatic 3-0 victory over South Korea (25-16, 25-19, 25-8), a result that sent an early warning to the rest of the field. They followed it up with another dominant display against Saudi Arabia, winning 25-14, 25-13, 25-11.

With this unbeaten run, Pakistan has qualified for the crossover stage of the tournament, where they will take on the top teams from Pool B for a place in the next phase of the tournament.

The championship, held across the Thai cities of Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi, features 16 nations split into four pools. The top four teams from the competition will book their place at the newly expanded FIVB U17 World Championship in 2026, which now features 24 teams.

The semifinals and final are scheduled for July 19, when Asia’s next U16 champions will be crowned. Based on their current form, Pakistan looks primed to make a deep run and perhaps even return home with the Asian U16 Volleyball Championship trophy.

The Pakistani nation is finally paying attention to volleyball, and with the senior and junior teams impressing in international settings, the future for the sport looks brighter than ever.
