Honor’s New GT2 Pro Tablet is a Gaming Beast with 165Hz Display and Massive Battery

Honor has introduced the Pad GT2 Pro, a follow-up to last year’s gaming tablet, with key upgrades in display performance, processing power, and design. The device will be available in China soon but there is no word on international availability as of yet.

Display and Performance

The tablet features a 12.3-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up from 144Hz on the previous model. It supports gameplay at 165 frames per second and maintains a resolution listed as “3K,” likely 3,000 x 1,920 pixels. Color options include Ice Crystal White and Phantom Gray.

The Pad GT2 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, replacing the 8s Gen 3 used in its predecessor. It is offered with RAM options of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, and storage choices ranging from 128GB to 512GB. The chip can easily handle demanding games and power user needs.

Design and Battery

Honor has slightly increased the battery capacity to 10,100 mAh, though charging speed has not been confirmed. The tablet measures 5.8mm in thickness and weighs 580 grams, making it a bit heavier than the previous version.

The device retains its eight-speaker IMAX Enhanced audio setup and includes a haptic feedback engine for improved user interaction.

Availability and Pricing

Pricing starts at approximately $293 for the base model and increases to around $398 for the highest configuration, depending on storage and memory options. International prices will likely differ.
