Schedule Confirmed for First Post-Ban Direct Flight Between UK and Pakistan

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced its readiness to resume flights to the United Kingdom following the removal of British air safety restrictions on Pakistani carriers.

Calling it a “milestone for aviation safety,” PIA stated that the decision by the UK Air Safety Committee reflects the airline’s commitment to meeting international safety standards. The airline said it is in the final stages of preparation and is currently finalizing its flight schedule for UK operations.

According to PIA, the UK operations will formally begin with flights from Islamabad to Manchester, and three weekly flights are planned initially, subject to approval of the proposed schedule.

PIA expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, the Civil Aviation Authority, and British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, acknowledging their efforts in achieving this breakthrough.
