Pakistan continued their unbeaten march at the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship with a commanding straight-sets win over Türkiye on Saturday.
The 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-19) victory at the Yunnusobod Sports Complex in Tashkent underlined Pakistan’s growing dominance in the tournament and moved them another step closer to the knockout rounds.
Riding high on confidence from the very first whistle, Pakistan looked the more composed and cohesive unit. Their attacking rhythm, led by outside hitter Saud, proved too much for Türkiye to handle. Saud top-scored with 16 points, while captain Muhammad Yahya added 13 in a performance that highlighted Pakistan’s depth and balance across all areas of the court.
Pakistan’s superiority was evident in all statistical departments. They registered more attack points, dominated at the net with 10 blocks compared to their opponents’ six, and took full advantage of Türkiye’s errors. Pakistan also won the battle on serves and outdug their European opponents 58 to 46.
This latest win follows Pakistan’s earlier victories over hosts Uzbekistan and Belgium, and solidifies their place among the frontrunners in Pool A, alongside powerhouses like Argentina. With only two matches left in the preliminary round against the South Americans and Puerto Rico, Pakistan have all but confirmed their place in the next round of the FIVB U19 World Championship.
As the tournament progresses, Pakistan’s performances are not only building momentum but also turning heads in their debut campaign. With a blend of athleticism, discipline, and fearless youth, this team is no longer just participating, it is competing like a contender.
Their next assignments will be crucial, as tougher tests await, but for now, Pakistan are doing everything right and doing it in style.
