Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has inaugurated the new “Time Travel Theatre” at Dino Safari Park, part of a broader effort to boost educational and recreational options for residents in Karachi.
The launch event, held on Friday, was attended by Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the City Council Dil Muhammad, Juman Darwan, PPP East District President Iqbal Sand, elected representatives, and other notable figures.
The Time Travel Theatre is designed to offer an immersive experience for families, especially children and young people. With interactive storytelling and themed performances, the initiative aims to blend entertainment with learning.
Officials say the theatre is helping educate children about important themes like environmental awareness, animal welfare, and nature appreciation. The storytelling format is targeted toward young audiences, particularly those aged three to five.
This project has been made possible with significant support from the private sector, which partnered with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to bring it to life. The goal is to make recreational spaces more accessible, especially for middle- and lower-income families who may have limited options for affordable entertainment.
The launch of the Time Travel Theatre is seen as a step forward in promoting inclusive public spaces that encourage learning, creativity, and community engagement in Karachi.
