Over 112,000 Challans Issued in Lahore Over Traffic Violations

Lahore traffic police have intensified their campaign against helmetless motorcyclists and stop line violations, issuing over 112,000 challans in July alone.

Traffic police are actively targeting motorcyclists who fail to wear helmets and those who do not stop at designated stop lines.

Chief Traffic Officer Athar Roheed reported that, during July, over 112,000 challans were given to motorcyclists riding without helmets. Additionally, 122 police officers were fined for the same offense, and 51,386 challans were issued for stop line violations within the month.

The CTO Lahore also stated that 474 cases have been registered against individuals responsible for encroachments. Traffic police have established checkpoints at various locations to take action against motorcyclists not wearing helmets.
