Punjab Police Arrests Fake Army Officer

Punjab police in Daska have arrested a man accused of pretending to be a colonel in the Pakistan Army in an attempt to sway Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sadia Jaffer’s decision in a land dispute.

The individual was taken into custody after he allegedly contacted the AC by phone, falsely claiming to be a serving army officer and urging her to intervene in a property matter. He followed up the call with a series of messages, continuing to exert pressure.

AC Sadia Jaffer became suspicious due to noticeable grammatical mistakes and inconsistencies in the caller’s communication, which raised doubts about his identity. The impersonator also mentioned that his “representative” would visit her office, prompting the AC to notify the DSP City Daska and request an official inquiry.

Police traced the suspect’s phone number and location, leading to his arrest. He now faces charges of impersonation, fraud, and attempting to interfere with government proceedings.
