The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has identified 99 housing societies in Islamabad as illegal.
Officials stated that steps are being taken to add the names of the sponsors and owners of these societies to the Exit Control List (ECL). The CDA has formally requested NADRA to share information about the individuals involved.
Authorities have initiated the process to restrict the travel of those responsible for these illegal developments. This move follows a recent meeting, led by the CDA Chairman, at which it was agreed to pursue legal measures against unauthorized housing projects.
Chairman CDA and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed officials to compile comprehensive data on all housing and cooperative societies within the CDA and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
He emphasized the importance of maintaining detailed records of layout plans, NOCs, and plot allotments, especially for societies issuing more files than the land they actually possess. Randhawa stressed that the names, zones, and complete documentation for each society must be collected and organized.
Randhawa reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy towards unauthorized construction and encroachments, vowing to remove illegal developments to protect Islamabad’s environment and urban landscape.
Additionally, the CDA announced that action will also be taken against suppliers providing construction materials to these illegal societies. The names of these societies have been made public on the CDA’s official website.

If i am not wrong when these societies were launched where was CDA at that time. Ist they allowed them to do such frauds and when they know that know they are not getting money in term of bribe then they take action which is useless
