Govt Announces Relief Package for Pensioners

The federal government has approved a relief package for employees retiring on or after July 1, 2025. Under this package, all federal pensioners will receive equal increases in their pensions.

The Federal Ministry of Finance has issued an official memorandum regarding pensions. According to the memo, the increase and payment of pensions apply to employees retiring on or after July 1, 2025.

The memo states that all federal pensioners will get equal pension increases. According to the memorandum, five previous ad-hoc relief allowances given between 2011 and 2024 will now be considered part of the pension. The total value of these five allowances is up to 70 percent.

It has been clarified that the baseline pension of government employees will now be considered their net pension. As per the Ministry of Finance, the five ad-hoc reliefs will be added after deducting the lump-sum portion from the gross pension.

These five previous pension increases will be included in the net pension of federal government employees. For example, ad-hoc relief of 15 percent was given in 2011 and 7.5 percent in 2015.

The Finance Ministry further explained that 15 percent relief was given in 2022, 17.5 percent in 2023, and again 15 percent in 2024.

    • Ohh contect to soldier board or your related army center 03701576312 contect me if not responding thank you

    • Assalam alaikum jamila, what are you asking here plz can you explain this to me

    • Restoration depends on age at the time of retirement. The commutation/lumpsum pension amount is basically monthly pension of future period received in advance therefore after completing those years pension is restored through written application to the Accounts Office responsible for sanctioning of pension.

    • Restoration will be made after the age of 72 years of your deceased husband. . . what was his date of birth

    • In this case, the restoration of the commuted portion of the deceased employee’s pension would depend on the specific rules and regulations of the relevant pension scheme and the date of the employee’s death. Given the employee died in service on September 7, 2007, after serving 29 years, it’s likely the family is entitled to a pension, but the restoration of any commuted portion is not applicable since the employee died before the restoration age

    • Assalamualaikum Wa Rehmatullah: Miss Jamila Iqbal, I am Zafar from Sindh Govt. Please tell me about your problem Inshallah I will help you, don’t worry.
      Regards Zafar.
      Thanks.

  • Government teachers BPS-14 Jinhony ne 2021 mai test dia tha or appointment 2025 Mai huye Hain un k liye pension hogi ya pension khatam krdi gae ha ?

  • Please consider EOBI pensioers relief too. They have also served the country .
How will they survive on this meagre pension?

    • It seems government does not consider EOBI pensioners as important as government pensioners. EOBI pensions have low priority. Are they not Pakistani citizens too or the government only Pakistanis.

  • By the way, what is the fault of those who retired earlier this year. This is a discrimination and violation of fundamental rights of senior citizens. Let the government reconsider it’s policy.
