The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a public holiday on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in observance of the country’s Independence Day.
According to a notice issued by the bourse, the exchange will remain closed for all Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders, staff, and other stakeholders.
Previously, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Monday that it will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025, being a public holiday on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’ as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the statement read.
