Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that through this internship program, livestock farmers will be able to access animal treatment and consultation services at their doorstep. She emphasized that the program is designed to promote and modernize the livestock sector in Punjab, while also providing young professionals with field experience along with financial support.
Maryam Nawaz added that the government aims to fully harness the potential of Punjab’s livestock sector. By increasing milk and meat production, the province can significantly contribute to foreign exchange reserves. “We want to transform Punjab into a hub of livestock and dairy development. We stand with livestock farmers today and will continue to support them in the future,” she remarked.
It is noteworthy that quotas have been allocated for Veterinary Assistants, AI Technicians, and Lab Assistants across all 36 districts of Punjab.
