The Punjab Education department has ordered the preparation of lists of schools and teachers giving poor results in 9th and 10th grades.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, while issuing a message on the social networking website on Thursday, said that for the first time, the School Education Department team is preparing lists of schools and teachers giving poor results in ninth and tenth grades. Teachers giving poor results will be dismissed from their jobs.
The minister said that despite spending billions of rupees, poor results will not be tolerated.
“I will hold the schools of my district and tehsil accountable. A list of teachers giving good results is also being prepared. Teachers will also be rewarded for good results,” he added.

Why not fire the CM and education minister ?
Education sector is terribly under funded. People can’t even afford things on a teacher salary.
Try doing that to your own first.
Hey first of all CM and education minister will not be fired insha’Allah but I think that some teachers do more things that they can afford everything. Just check out the clothes of them they’ve wore branded clothes. Where does the money come from?
I am both sides that because of the teachers students are failing and secondly students have their own fault for not studying.

The Government policies and procedures are responsible for the students poor performance. Teachers to be held responsible is unjustified. Government formulate and executive policies through education department officers. Give free hand and such facilities to the teachers like given to the private sector and then see the results. You can’t compare public and private institutions. Ground realities and constraints are to be considered first.

Unfortunately in the world of social media optics matter. Instead of realising how bad this act is, people will appreciate it. But they do not know that this will rot the system to its core. Next time cheating will become a norm. Results are not the true measure of a teachers performance.
