The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has revealed plans to develop a new airport in Faisalabad, saying it has already begun the process of hiring consultants for the project.
According to the PAA, firms have been invited to submit proposals for preparing the feasibility study, master plan, and design. The deadline for applications has been set for October 12.
In a separate development, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal is further strengthening its footprint in Pakistan. The airline will start direct flights between Sialkot and Riyadh from August 26, operating three services a week.
Flyadeal recently announced four new routes to Pakistan, and the Sialkot–Riyadh link is the latest addition. The carrier will deploy Airbus A320 aircraft on the route, aiming to provide passengers with affordable and convenient travel options.
